Steve Ashworth is definitely a face you’ll find in the South West’s foodie scene. As a judge for Taste of the West, Guild of Fine Foods and Bristol and Bath Food Awards, you can tell that his raw passion for good food remains unrivalled in this corner of the UK.
If you frequent the best restaurants in the West Country, chances are that Steve is a familiar face to you. He’s organised charity pop-up restaurants, and participated in many food demonstrations involving local producers and manufacturers, which made him a natural fit to help organise Feast.
Steve is a tax specialist by trade, but his exceptional culinary taste combined with his gifted eye for detail sealed his reputation as more than just an amateur in the industry. In 2013 he won the title of South West’s Best Dish at the South West Chef of the Year competition.
Founding director of Salt Media, Jo has been the editor of food magazine for 14 years, giving readers the insider info on the best foodie places to eat, shop and stay in the South West. She is also the editor of The Trencherman’s Guide which showcases the most exquisite restaurants in the West Country.
With the Salt Media team, Jo helps craft speciality coffee guides for the South West, the north of England, Scotland and Ireland and creates guides, brochures and marketing for the food, drink and hospitality industries.
Paddy Magill, Chairman of Vine Wine, will be on hand to offer wine pairing advice during our cooking demonstrations. Paddy has been in the wine trade for over 30 years and experienced many sides of this diverse and exciting industry. His philosophy behind Vine Wine is to offer good honest wines at good honest prices.
