James Mason - Chef Cooking Demonstrations at Feast Food Festival

As Head Chef of The Coach House by Michael Caines at Kentisbury Grange, James Mason is certainly no stranger to prestigious accolades.

Infusing the local culture and history into all of his impeccable dishes, James has managed to rack up the awards, winning Gold in the Taste of the West Awards 2016, winning the restaurant Gold for Taste of the South West in the South West Tourism Awards 2015, and being a finalist in the National Chef of the Year 2016. He entered the South West Chef of the Year when he was a sous chef at The Salutation Inn, Topsham.

He was appointed Head Chef at The Coach House in North Devon in 2015 by Michael Caines, who said he was, “really excited about James joining the team, as he is an excellent young chef who will continue to build on our great reputation.” James worked with Michael at his restaurant in Exeter for two years, where he first began to collect his culinary awards.
