Steve Ashworth is definitely a face you’ll find in the South West’s foodie scene. As a judge for Taste of the West, Guild of Fine Foods and Bristol and Bath Food Awards, you can tell that his raw passion for good food remains unrivalled in this corner of the UK.
If you frequent the best restaurants in the West Country, chances are that Steve is a familiar face to you. He’s organised charity pop-up restaurants, and participated in many food demonstrations involving local producers and manufacturers, which made him a natural fit to help organise Feast.
Steve is a tax specialist by trade, but his exceptional culinary taste combined with his gifted eye for detail sealed his reputation as more than just an amateur in the industry. In 2013 he won the title of South West’s Best Dish at the South West Chef of the Year competition.
Founding director of Salt Media, Jo has been the editor of food magazine for 14 years, giving readers the insider info on the best foodie places to eat, shop and stay in the South West. She is also the editor of The Trencherman’s Guide which showcases the most exquisite restaurants in the West Country.
