Saving us food, time and money and based on the national ‘Love Food Hate Waste’ campaign, this fun, interactive workshop shares tips to help you buy what you need and use what you buy, to understand food date labels and when food is safe to eat. Participants receive a pack of tips, tools and inspiration to make the most of the food they love.
‘Love Food Hate Waste’ helps us all make the most of the food we love. By rethinking how we shop, planning our meals better and using up leftovers, together we can make a difference. It’s not often that “doing your bit” is as simple as keeping food from being discarded!
The workshop is run by Beth Prince, Community Engagement Officer at Somerset Waste Partnership, which supports ‘Love Food Hate Waste’. Beth co-ordinates SWP’s Food Champions scheme, training volunteers to pass on tips and advice in their community.
