Now the Head Chef at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant in Padstow. Stephane, who hails form France, began cooking against his family’s wishes, starting an apprenticeship at the age of 16 at two Michelin starred Sully D’Auteuil before moving to Le Vieux in Berlin. His desire to learn English then led him to London in 1989 and he’s worked at top restaurants and alongside top chefs including the Roof Restaurant at the Hilton on Park Lane, with Michael Croft at Mirabelle and Martin Webb at Quaglino’s.

Stephane has travelled around the world following his passion for food, including working on the QE2 and in France and Dublin. He has now been Head Chef at Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant Padstow for over 16 years and his love of cooking is matched by his passion for Cornish produce.

Stephane is a keen marathon runner and ran seven in one summer in 2014 to raise money for local charities. When not in the kitchen he can be found relaxing in St. Issey with his wife and three daughters.
